Nothing in your life is actually urgent and almost everything is dressed up to look that way. “Only 2 left in stock”, “countdown timer on sales”, “flash sales”, “Boarding groups on a flight you’re already sitting at the gate for”, “Act now”…etc etc None of this urgency is real. It’s manufactured to get you to decide before you think, spend before you compare, react before you’re ready. The fake urgency created in our culture for absolutely no reason is one of the worst things humans have invented.
