I think it’s simply a humility issue. Everyone’s egos (particularly Americans, that’s where I’m from) are attached to this system they were born into, learned, and profited from. Even knowing it’s problematic. After watching Bitcoin talks from developers in developing countries, the community often embraces the ideas immediately.

Makes sense, especially with the way bitcoin appeals mainly to a specific demographic in the US. Too young, and they don't know how shafted they are ; too old and they've just had it too easy. Late twenties to gen x get it easier.
