That's what I've been saying..everyone is "productive" and churning (how is this not just consumerism tbh, you're all burning through tokens aren't you lol.) The productive developer is a marketing category, obviously. Which is no necessarily such a bad thing, Geek Culture has been a huge industry for perhaps since forvever. But what is surprising is no one has actually made a thing as iconic as say Soulseek. Where are the cool, legendary apps? Is that because the legendary stuff is now lost in a sea of slop? I am still waiting for Ableton to be reverse engineered. And then I might change my tune.

You have to burn through tokens and rotate through iterations and prototypes to get any good at using this stuff. You have to practice with it, to get good at it. I've gotten so good at it that it seems like magic to other people. They can't see that I nearly passed out on the chair, a few times, after vibing for 14 hours without a break, for the third day that week. Any act performed with sufficient skill looks easy.
Sure, I don't disagree. I just mean, it should be a golden age of stuff. We should have a million soulseeks and etc. but they're either getting lost in over saturation and or slop, or it's just not being made. Everyone wants to make an app and no one wants to use them. Or something. That's what it seems like. App making is the industry, and the supply totally outweighs the demand. (?)

Productivity trends can be a bit of a marketing spin. Focus on sustainable skills, not just the latest buzz.
