The goal is to capture attention, then go public, using investor funds to keep scaling. The emphasis is on expansion, because growing quickly often appears more successful than focusing on profit. This cycle continues, with the company relying on investor money to keep growing, sometimes at the expense of actual earnings, until... well, until the strategy either pays off or collapses.
