Back in the days, Bitcoiners had principles and a real cypherpunk ethos the kind of people I actually talked to and enjoyed to hang out IRL. Now it’s 99.9% fiat grift, greed, and pure stupidity. Hard to connect when it’s all just about $ !

I don't think so, there are lots and lots of Bitcoin meetups in my area.
The only meetups that makes sense are those who have no sponsors and not affiliated with anyone in the industry.
There are no sponsored or affiliated meetups in my area, only ones started and maintained by passionate groups of plebs. Circular economies are starting. Many are spending Bitcoin with one another and then earning it back.
That's what I meant. You are not there.
