I almost want to learn latin to read things like De Architectura in its original form. I’m super impressed by builders from antiquity. Wondering what can be learned from them. Maybe even in relation to software architecture: Strength: code quality and robustness Utility: does the code actually does something useful Beauty: aesthetics and ux People were thinking about these things for a long time before us, and the things they build still stand today and are beautiful. We’ve lost a lot of wisdom.

Have you read D’arcy Thompson? I know generally you’re going much further back historically but “On Growth and Form” is a dense dive into the structural design of the natural world.
