This is part of why I'm very actively limiting my thoughts of baby care to today, and not thinking of the full first year, cause one night of needing to wake up multiple times is already hitting my "weight" limit ๐

It's a little of both, I believe. Have an eye on the future, but don't give it your full attention (I.e., obsess over it). Otherwise, you'll miss those beautiful daily moments with your child
Yes, knowing what is to come is a good idea, because we can prepare for it and notice when it arrives, especially with baby growth!
However, the weight of thinking about feeding every few hours fir the next year, with diaper changes in between, those are the things I try to limit to the present, especially when I'm super tired at night, and the thought of getting up even just once is hard to handle, that's when that quote is very real! ๐
