Yes, it has to do with _why_ people get into one coin or another. Bitcoiners buy Bitcoin to hodl Bitcoin. The End. Whether they squirrel it away in a hardware wallet with multi-sig and 15 passwords on top, or whether they buy the ETF, or (to my surprise) keep it in a Lightning wallet is irrelevant: they didn't get that money to spend it. Bitcoin is so *physically and psychologically painful* to spend, due to the whole hodler narrative around it, that people will scrape together 1 whole sat, to send you, and expect you to feel grateful. That feels more like an insult, than a compliment, bro. People come here and get excited about everyone sending them money. Then they look at the purchasing power of that money in their national currency and are like ๐Ÿ˜ญ . That zap storm and 10 dollas will buy you a Big Mac, baby. BCH and Monero users are looking for a digital currency that isn't issued by a nation-state and that doesn't inflate like bolivars. They acquire it to spend it. And that's why I don't convert it into Bitcoin. I spend it on. If I give people Monero, they might eventually spend it on something, and the currency continues to move through the Nostr economy. If I give them Bitcoin, they squirrel it away, and the economy shrinks and stagnates. It's an economy killer. I've pushed hundreds of dollars worth of Bitcoin zaps into Nostr. Where the fuck are they? Hodled someplace. They'll be worth something, after I am dead. Guess I need to push more in. Nah.
