Mistake 1 - being in the uk Mistake 2 - buying on Coinbase
Sad bitcoin in Europe reality check - it’s getting baaaad.. I sent my friend his first bitcoin to Revolut ($30) He had to verify the wallet it came from. Including my name, wallet etc. since I used a wallet which isn’t kyced (lol) they refused the Bitcoin - he was forced to send it back. Read that again. SEND IT BACK TO THE WALLET. He couldn’t do anything with it. Fucked up. But now he’s holding his own keys - he immediately understood why we bitcoin 😂 Barbara Streisand effect. View quoted note →

This is the new choke point. Another exchanges request to join a video call when depositing or withdrawing more than 1000EUR value. But is yet unknown to me what they want to see on that call. The address will be different all the time anyway so really want to see this crap rolled back. That MICA and travel rule really messed up self custody efforts. They make you feel YOU are the criminal for ensuring you own the asset.

You can't buy your first bitcoin on Robosats, the bond is paid with sats!

Yes, but mistake number 2 is entirely voluntary.
