Yes, it's a very common issue. Some mosques do accept BTC, albeit via some third-party service, which converts it to fiat, and a very small number accept BTC directly in custody. It will take time and education, and possibly even a change of management committee, before they accept it more widely. It also depends on the jurisdiction.
