Seriously though, when I log into X, my feed is full of anti-Core posts from accounts I don’t know, don’t follow, and never even liked a tweet from. The outrage algorithm must be running hot.

It's crazy and depressing. Most seem like bots. I am syncing a node and despite the fear mongering they spread, after 7h I am almost at 50% of sync. Going under the hood of Bitcoin you realize that instead of yapping and fudding these people could just easily opt out of OP_RETURN by not relying it. Problem solved.

The datacarrier boolean was one of the things the fight was over. Not to mention the datacarriersize int is bugged. Not everyone is a screeching howler monkey of emotion. Some people have technical objections as well. Not that I would know, but it sounds like X is full of the former.
Yeah the only things I still post on X are my own articles and some stuff like that. I don’t even respond in the comments anymore. (Having said that, the recent drama did indeed draw me back into scrolling through that cesspool a bit again… getting harder to ignore.)

Yep I avoided it for years, and now I lurk there. I just read tweets, I never press the like button For every second post on the home feed, I have to press "I'm not interested in this post" to try to teach X that I don't want that shit

yeah I only needed to mute a few noisy bot-looking anon accounts and it mostly went away. no algo to pump them.
