Yeah, they're just creating it like e-gold. They don't care about the currency aspect, or self-custody, just SoV and hedging.

Not even sure they’re that bothered about SoV. Just another thing to trade.
They make money off of the transactions, not the thing being transacted, so yeah. They want to minimized fee-loss and maximize profit.
