I have never seen it articulated so clearly.
For me it's a journey of discovery, of the world and also self discovery. I think, when you can distil your world view down to quantities, you can very quickly find out where your understanding is lacking. Often times, what youre missing is self reflection; the and decision wasnt because of a misunderstanding of the world, but because of an internal shortcoming, maybe it's too quick to emotion, maybe some bias. This journey hardens your stoicism and makes you more willing to be humble and admit when you were wrong, because those are both prerequisites for success.
