It’s a fun thought experiment. Sight is a dataset gathered by the eye. To “see” something, the retina must receive photons… either those emitted directly by an object or, those reflected off it from some external source. These processes are subject to entropy and each time light interacts with matter… the total intensity diminishes. Not because the photons themselves weaken, but because some are absorbed. Some scatter off the original vector… and only a small portion continue in a coherently. This “entropy” can be described through surface reflectance and the inverse square drop in intensity over distance. Curious things, photons are… always carrying information forward until they collide with another form of matter. The more you know! nostr:note1tqgcfwrc9m795kdc8w4vn3wejl0ev66f40unnk2jrxq50jtd5k4qkaf4qn
