#V4V Pro Tip: You don’t have to wait until a creator/artist forces you to subscribe to their content. You can support them now on a regular basis, completely voluntarily, as you enjoy their content. We don’t need paywalls. image

This is such a great point. It fosters a real connection between creators and their audience. Paywalls can feel so restrictive.

Proactive support > paywalls. Time to fuel the creators we believe in *before* they have to ask. #V4V for the win!
I think zaps will replace all advertisement driven online content in the long run, because consumers will pay a lot more. If you watch a YouTube video with ads, that makes about 1$/1000 views. I would pay 10x that, 1 cent per view, just so I don't have to watch ads. Maybe creators expect too much or reach a too small audience 🤔

Yea, but donation driven support dosen't work well unless it's a value add. Like American tip culture, or (unfortunatly) microtransactions. Not that they are typically micro...
We’ve been trained to think in terms of needing more followers and more likes because that’s what platforms say you need to make any money. But they say that because that’s actually what the platform needs, because you having more followers gives them more eyes to show ads to, and more likes helps them understand what kind of ads to show to each person. V4V makes it about you and the art/artists again. Artists can create what they love and people who love it can enjoy it without being manipulated by algos driving some corporate agenda.
That's true! You can see that especially in content with a small audience, like artist drawing commission for furry porn getting hundreds of dollars for a picture. But a big fanbase will still be necessary for V4V right? People are not gonna pay 5-10 bucks for a Minecraft video or a podcast 🤔 Or maybe I'm not as much of a fan 🤷‍♂️ I think I would pay a dollar for an interesting podcast tho 10 cents if it was meh
