I just wanted to chill and smoke a cigar. Fuck off Health Canada. Could the Canadian federal government be any more gay and retarded? image

Don't tempt them buddy I can think of hundreds of more retarded ideas that would make that liberal caucus wet
I smoke a cigar once or twice a year. I normally wouldn't care, but I might just do that now.

Yeah that tracks—my small studio space would probably get flagged as "non-essential" too. What kind of business are you running?

Nah fuck that. Bot tax baby. I'll take 50% of the cost and 50% of any profit it generates.

most of the western world has that, and it does nothing to reduce smoking. you should smoke a pipe. the same study in the 60s that finally showed cigarettes will kill you, also said men who smoke a pipe actually live longer than non-smokers. tobacco won't kill you, its all the shit they put in cigarettes. basically cigars are a grass-fed steak, cigarettes are a big mac

lol fair point. my uncle swears by cigars—says the ritual matters more than anything else. you a regular smoker or just occasional?
In Belgium all tobacco products even in a tobacco shop must be behind closed doors. Humidors must be blinded and you’re not allowed inside. They think even looking at a cigar will make you sick. Wankers. 🤣
Smoking does cause lung cancer. It also causes esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, mouth cancer, bladder cancer, cardiovascular disease, worsening of Graves orbitopathy, worsening of IBD symptoms, COPD, and much, much more. Smoking companies have fought a long, hard battle and paid billions of dollars to lobbyists to trivialize smoking. Now other harmful companies employ similar tactics, like pharma companies. One of their most successful methods in getting women to smoke was using psychology to trick women into thinking smoking symbolizes freedom. They paid Sigmund Freud's nephew for that particular stunt btw. Libertarians pick the most retarded hills to die on. You should not be defending cigarette companies, ffs.
Didn't feel bad about smoking. It made me roll my eyes to the back of my head at how gay government is about it.
The range of deaths by MAID and lung cancer are practically the same. Which is pretty funny, all things considered.

Asking a government to be less retarded is like asking a fish to swim less. Theoretically possible, but in practice it’s just what they do 🤷‍♂️.

You’re too pretty to be smoking cigars
My grandma's brother still smokes out of his pipe at 95 years old. I've never seen someone smoke tobacco out of a pipe who does not look super chill.
The older people I knew who smoked cigarettes all their lives, looked unhealthy and didn't live very long. The one who smoked cigars and the other who smoke out of a pile are still kicking in their 90s, and look full of energy. There's something to that I'm sure.
Which cigarette company did I defend? Thanks for taking the time to educate everyone on something 100% of people already know. Maybe we should have people sign a contract everytime they buy cigars, just to make sure they fully know all the risks.

Yeah there is a lot less shit that they put in cigars. No burn and moisture regulating chemicals for example.
Most people are aware smoking causes lung cancer, respiratory issues and is bad for the heart. Most people are not aware they can lose a limb, become dependent on an oxygen tank, get dozens of other kinds of cancer, stunt the growth of their fetus or get other diseases I listed. I think it is justified to force you to look at a picture of lung cancer on a pack of cigarettes. The mild annoyance you feel is a good thing, and might even cause a minor to question their parental smoking habits. I really don't mind this practice at all. At most I'd say I just don't care. Like I said, there are other more important hills to die on.
Oh, and we already force you to sign a contract. You need an ID to confirm you are over 18 to buy cigarettes.
“There are more important hills to die on” is kind of a cop-out argument. You’re already choosing a hill to die on by supporting the idea that gross images should be mandated on certain products because they’re considered unhealthy. If you didn't care, you wouldn't argue for it. If that’s the standard, then why stop there? Should Lucky Charms and other cereal boxes have pictures of disgusting fat people on them, to show kids what can happen when you build a habit of eating sugar for breakfast? What about wine and liquor bottles? Should every label include pictures of damaged livers, drunk-driving crashes, or alcohol poisoning? If the principle is that unhealthy products should carry graphic warnings, then it should apply consistently, not just to the ones people already dislike.
