Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing more from your team 🫂
whats the revenue strategy for simplex? talking about "pre-seed" from a "VC" fund makes sense when talking about business that wants to become profitable. this looks rather like a grant
Please always look very carefully at where the money comes from. While Jack's donation is still relatively neutral. SimpleX Chat received 380,000 dollars from Village Global. This is the venture capital company of Jef Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, ect. This means that big tech companies have already long been involved in SimpleX Chat! See https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/simplex-chat and
I did The more VC Companys involved = the more bad is it for software. Do your want real privacy? Don´t use SimpleX. Better switch to Threema from Switzerland. Check it for yourself: Visit Rate: 🟩=3 🟨=1 🟥=0 Results (and where the money comes from) 1. Threema = 86 = most secure Messenger (User pays one-time) 2. Signal (OTF / Brian Acton / Ex-WhatsApp) = 80 3. Session (Loki Coin & suspicious Chinese) = 77 4. Wire (Janus Fries / Ex-Skype) = 68 5. SimpleX Chat *= 67 6. Wickr (Amazon) = 61 7. Element / Matrix (Amdocs / Morris Kahn) = 56 8. Apple iMessage (Hardware sales) = 37 9. WhatsApp (Meta) = 32 10. Google Messages (Ads) = 28 11. Telegram (Putin) = 27 12. Facebook Messenger (Meta) = 26 13. Microsoft Skype =10 * SimpleX Chat got 380.000 $ from VillageGlobal.vc = Jez Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, ect. OFT = OpenTechnologyFund = US-Goverment
> This is the venture capital company of Jef Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, ect. This is simply a misinformation. Read Ben's comment. These people are among hundreds of their LPs, without direct influence on any of the invested companies. > I believe in SimpleX Chat vision and team’s ability to execute it. The growing number of Internet users who demand privacy of their data and contacts will make SimpleX Chat profitable, which is critically important for any sustainable organization. > We are fortunate to have LPs who founded many iconic Internet ventures. But they don’t have any influence on the 400+ companies we invested in. They are financial investors in our fund and exert no control or influence on any of the underlying portfolio companies. > What's more, we believe that founders should lead their ventures, as it yields better results – our investment in SimpleX Chat has no control provisions. We are happy to help, but we don’t control any decisions nor have a board seat. Evgeny runs the company independently. From
