Depends on how you have them planted. Personally I’m going to use mulch to help prevent the fruit from soil contact and preserve moisture but I’ve seen others who have their watermelons hang from trellises!

i have some peppers, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, basil, and catnip for my cat. just getting started! i don’t have a ton of space right now but i have them in pots on my balcony. i also have a small hibiscus tree out there🤣

Good call for the tomato’s in pots! Tomato’s are bullies when it comes to being planted with anything else and pull everything out from the soil! Learned this the hard way when I tried planting them with my green beans a few years back. Now they always go in pots. 😅
