Most of the jobs at my work are side-motions, not promotions, or demotions, just jobs that are slightly easier to do than other jobs but otherwise don't really come with any perks, or benefits in pay at least.
I'm working on my next sidemotion right now but I thought it was another role where you get a $1 increase for being in but it's not, they both have similar names but I figure since I'm already going through the process might as well see it out, and use it to benefit me possibly.
At best it results in physically easier work but it's more mental work, I can do mental work.
