There could be a system designed to act like an ncryptsec1 on the back end but looks like a normal email login on the front-end, so it still keeps it decentralized to a degree. The alternative is clients hold encrypted copies of nsecs but I don't think that would be the best idea unless there was a protocol designed to clone, and burn compromised Nsecs. Old Npubs would automatically route to new npubs. If I was making a normie facing Nostr client geared towards normies, I would have the sign up page say sign up with email, sign up without email (nostr). It allows normies to have the familiar normie social media experience without scaring them away, and then a few pages in after setting up their profile, have a page that says, this is your master key/password, you can use this to sign into the client if you lose access to your email, and phone number, please write it down, and keep it safe, you can use this password to login in (your client name), or with Nostr at any time. And have a blue highlighted link, ? Symbol, or Dropbox that says what is nostr, that explains nostr too.

There should be a Global/Universe/Firehouse with WoT, and then a raw feed of what's conventionally called Global/Universe/Firehouse. The main problem about Nostr's 1:1 feed is that it's filled to the brim with bots, and drowns out new, or small users quickly. If we had both options it allows human content to float to the top while bot content sinks to the bottom, eventually over time, the real Nostr users will out number scammers/spammers.

2 years ago Nostr was unusable, 4 years ago Bitcoin, and Crypto was unusable. Today, the use case is way more tolerable, improvements still needed of course but before everytime I opened a nostr app, or a Bitcoin/Crypto wallet it felt like absolute drudgery, now it feels like things work for once. Once we get more coders into the ecosystem then we're going to start improving by leaps, and bounds.

You can just load Nostr over Tor now. Amethyst is actually comparable to its peers in Note Rendering time now with Tor enabled 👀. This is comparing to Primal which pre-renders notes on a caching server. So the fact that they're competing is wild. Primal should be the obvious clear winner here in rendering but Amethyst made rendering so much better now.

Because then it's basically a social media built on top of Nostr rather than Nostr proper. I mean it's good to reduce AI slop but Ai generated content could be really good but rarely. I'm hoping they won't abuse their power, we'll find out soon though.
