Sitting in a city council reception and it’s quite the eye opener for the bureaucracy and costs of the fiat system. Unproductive people with many many issues (tattoos on the face is only half of it), coming here to get support because they don’t have to look internally to ask themselves “what can I do to improve my future self”, but then having this building, staffing it with people, security and reception staff all to allow the unfortunate people to offload their personal responsibility to someone else. Then all the while, the productive individuals in society are forever asked for ever more council tax as an impediment on their earning to have someone with no skin in the game to allocate the resources they gave up their time, effort and abilities to earn to then get home and tell themselves “they’re doing good” “I’m paying my fair share” 🤮 Department of work and pensions, bureaucrats telling people how to work when they have only ever worked in this world of minimal productivity. image

Gm nostriches, back to the beast of #bitcoinisvenice cheers @allen , fascinating overlap with you (and Sacha’s) and the fountainhead. “The person who loves everybody and feels at home everywhere is the true hater of mankind” Gail Wynand, the fountain head, on what a global, mono culture really means. “Those who succeed in the financialise world are those without a sense of place or of self…… who distain craftsmanship” p.202 After some reading and #coffeechain in bed, #catstr came to join me. Now time to enjoy the lost Easter Monday “university closure day”. image

Great work @Cedricyoungelman with Connor Dolan, annoyed I missed the @Guy Swann read, so need to catch up. Great perspective and a bit more depth of a perspective of stoicism and its alignment with being a bitcoiner. Definitely more work to be done on my part, but some interesting new view points for me on the approach of people in my life. We can live with purpose and intent, things may not always be perfect, but it can all be part of our journey of growth, we don’t need to complain because everything isn’t working out for us………. Being stoic brings an optimism and grounding to what goes on around me and hopefully greater patience of those who are yet to face the fact that they may be dead tomorrow and so, it is worth living today. https://fountain.fm/episode/BZ1ac8A8bfiLWDVHST0V

@Bitcoin Policy UK missed this (with only 6 days notice) so slightly annoyed to have missed out after moving my phone SIPP purely for this reason (but view the pension as something to offset taxes against and maybe jettison one day), but quite the “mask off moment” of the powers that be saying “we” (as British pension holders) cannot hold bitcoin etns in OUR accounts. Hmmm, a little too much competition for the ft100 ETFs?!?!? image

Some proper schooling from the young bitcoiners in the house, “dad can you make pancakes for breakfast” and “dad, can we go a bike ride to the park” (even though it was a veiled means of getting an ice cream) Initially I had a moment of why? Then thought “why not?” Helped me do both and thoroughly enjoyed them and got some time outside after a very sedentary day yesterday. Youngest did a startling effort on her first proper bike ride away from the pavement in front of the house!!!! Eldest doing her best “have we reached hyperbitcoinization?” meme template Dad got a wet foot when failing to jump across a ditch! Take is easy freaks and consider asking “why not?”

Now if it was based on public private key cryptography where the data was held with the individual…… hmmm, already have it with nostr. Government run 🆔 and surveillance system? It’s gotta be a no from me.

Been keeping an eye out and pleased to see the booster packs are now available for S4 - The Simulation @Based Trading Cards Now the packs are a little more in my price range as a background supporter compared to the heavy weights that hang out in discord!!! Saying that, currently hodling 6-7 (🫡🙌) unopened packs.

Easter is a time to celebrate rebirth, so take the opportunity to be reborn with more nostr and bitcoin, with a much reduced cross section for getting yourself snared and thrown into the Gulag. Onwards freaks. View article →

Happy Easter Gm nostriches! Q1 already completed, we’re still confirming transactions and adding blocks to the proof of work chain initiated over 17 years ago. Over a regular cycle, bitcoin is demonised for breaking the rules of the existing system, pulled up in front of the masses to be crucified for what it offers the lives and souls of the honest worker; freedom to transact, freedom to hold one’s own wealth, freedom to move with that wealth freedom not to be debased. We may feel like we’re suffering through a bear market, but all that does is allow us to be reborn, anew, ready to face the path ahead of us with renewed vigour and lust for the sunny days ahead of us. Faint heart never won fair maiden, iron sharpens iron. If you’ve made it this far, keep at it. Don’t over extend yourself, take calculated risks (no risks are worse than no risks), don’t get greedy, but most importantly, take part in voluntary transactions, adding more value than you take. Be like the man who rose again after being the target of fear and hate, be the better man (or lady), use the better money and if you’re so gifted, turn some water into wine (actually or metaphorically), if nothing else, it’s a great party trick. Once more freak, happy Easter, now to work out how to cook this beef and stop the kids oding on chocolate!!!!! #easter #bitcointhesaviour #coffeechain

Ga nostriches, attempting to convince myself that holidays are “fun”, the rest of the family were looking forward to getting home to see the couch and the kitties. Me less so, but looking forward to seeing my bike and heading out for a bike ride. If there was a pooch waiting for me, the bike might take second place. Had some lovely steak in Portugal but not enough (the piri piri chicken was a crime against Nando’s!!!!!), so headed out to sort myself with a 15oz and some broccoli, simple food for a simple ton. Paperback proof copy arrived for the next mini task, @Lyudmyla Kozlovska very happy to delay the second edition if it can be of use. Saying that, the second edition may be nostr only…….. I went a touch freedom and fuck the government for the happy tax payers in my life. @Peter McCormack Mike Green was great, may need to read up about tax in the bible to push back on those who are in h so happy being part slave!!!

Gm nostriches, happy Friday, barrelling into the final full day for the holiday, back to the beach, maybe take a dip in the chilly Sea/ocean (really not sure how it works in the Algarve). Paying in cash while I’m still able and love the irony (I’ve not noticed it before) of having a criminal’s signature on it (hmm guilty of negligence, really want a head of a central bank to give attention to the details).

Millions of people are so unproductive they have to wait until the government mandates their employer has to pay them more, because they legally have to. Also, those employers who can’t afford the rise will replace the staff with a machine (or just back them) increasing unemployment and anyway, the increase will also drive inflation so many effect of a “payrise” will be will be very short lived. Have a lovely day. image

Gm nostriches, happy new year for all those who celebrate and be happy being the fool, someone wants to call you. “Yeah mate, Bitcoin’s the money that’s just made up!” Looking at the news, where the people who haven’t got their shit together will be getting more support, while those struggling to bring up their kids through grit and hard work will be doing what they always do, turn down the thermostats and putting on another jumper. When it is your money that you earn, you just have more respect for its value than it being handed out, “I don’t deserve to be cold” they say Also, if a picture could ever show someone feeling the effects of being nearly 2 years into a job they’re unable to do. Maybe Keir does have a sense of humour after all putting this poor lady through this. image
