The once Great Britain will take well over 20 years to build some high speed rail, and it will costs many many times more than what is costs in china, and will likely travel at a fraction of the speed. And it’s even going as far as they originally intended. Teams meeting have basically solved the need for such links. Who wants to go to Birmingham anyway, it’s a rat infested shit hole (no offence to the nostr brunmies) Yeah bois, come and do business in the UK, we are world leaders in bureaucracy and red tape. Been hoping for a pod like this for a while as I post what I once thought were the dullest charts ever, uk, US and Japanese bond yield. Turns out, dull but kinda important. Looking back to when I wrote this in December, didn’t consider the implications of Japan being a net oil importer, but then at this time, no war in Iran and no one knew about the strait of homuz. Now that is an addition disturbance/ butterfly flapping its wing in a fiat currency house of cards. If Japan have to really print to keep the lights on, actually, and the new pm leans into it, all bets are off, and I will pray for those Japanese who through metaplanet was “as good as” real bitcoin. Thank you and great work @Peruvian Bull, cheers @MartyBent for discussing my guilty pleasure……. When currency cascade?!?!? https://fountain.fm/episode/kIltHdX5OSd58ywDaedi

Gm nostriches, made through the final bit of marking, and after bread crumbs throughout the module of references, TO MY OWN WORK, not a single student had been sufficient engaged or sufficiently savvy to have a look into their tutor’s work. Yeah, you could say it would be brown nosing, but I would see someone giving a shit, respecting the effort I put in to make the slide actually mean something and maybe, because my work isn’t half bad, just maybe, fucking learning something. Ah well, as @AustinHerbert says, you can take a horse to water, but they have to be thirsty first. “Were the middle children of history” but our great war is monetary debasement, our weapons are bitcoin and privacy tools, we are very pissed off, but in addition to smashing ourselves up in the gym (press ups done), we can really do something about it.

Gm nostriches, happy Monday, final week of the half term for the kids before heading away with extended family for a week, first time my brother has been with us for 2 years, so really looking forward to catching up and with the senior, putting the world to rights and planning our strategies moving forward, my contribution, buy bitcoins boys!!!! Quick look into the news, wondering if any authorities wonder how so many vap/imported candy/phone cover shops could support themselves with no customers…….. they are actually destroying our towns, destroying our kid’s lungs and pancreases (shitting sugar) and to add insult to injury, they supporting the flow of rapists in small boats. I’d love to hear to argument against closing them all down (and yes, the employment of those guys in there absolutely does not count). Ah, but awesome way to start the day; didn’t step on some mouse entrails the cat brought in, winning mother fuckers. 🫡🙌 photo on request. 😘 #coffeechain

“Hindsight won’t help you, so don’t fall into that trap. Just because you know it now….. you didn’t know it before.” The experienced lady, providing advice to the mother and husband of the father and son who died in the Oceangate deep sea implosion. While a very different situation to the bitcoin you could have bought in 2020 or even November 2022, maybe sage advice to a newbie dealing with their own saltiness. image

When Lisa Nandy MP speaks, I immediately reach in the opposite direction , you’re saying continuing to limp along in a bad direction with a divided government is the way forward? Marxist academic father would likely agree with you, communism is great, it just hasn’t been done right, yet. image

Appreciate poor form with the cutting board, but not actually doing any cutting on it. Having a go at dry brining the brisket before slow roasting this afternoon, wondering if I have enough for 3 of us!!!! #beefstr Yorkshire pud mixture ready to go in the fridge!!! 🫡🙌 image

Monday looks like it’s going to be fun, US, Japan and UK gilts all going wild. Very little information seeming to come out of Japan, 🇯🇵 . Unsure if this will ultimately lead to something breaking immediately, but what are the major bond markets telling us? Yeah, these yields are pretty high, but “can you take me higher?” @Ben Justman🍷

Gm nostriches, chilling momentarily with #catstr and @TFTC before going once more into the breach and into the marking, chances I get it all finished tomorrow are improving (if I get cracking today). Interesting bbc article; Labour showing clearly that if you accept anyone willing to buy votes with promises or appeal to constituency demographics, in time, chips will be cashed and votes can’t be whipped. Compared to the previous pms, this time is different, Cameron introduced brexit and disagreements could not be settled and the old system changed. After this, serious leadership was needed, but added to this, the ability for parties to appeal to the demands and demographics of a rapid changing country (the Boris wave is coming home to roost), there won’t be the cohesion in the country or parliament to make the difficult decisions needed to sort this out. Making things go from bad to worse, Wes “so got bullied at school” Streting is now saying he’ll aim to get back into the carwreck that is Europe. Fml, British will be receiving a letter from the board of country namers informing us we no longer have the “Great”, and it might have replace that with “Shit”. One hopes that next time around (election wise), the traditionals of the country will take the stoics route and vote for the party willing to get the hard tasks done (and they deliver), and not simply rape the treasury and those with assets in the country. #coffeechain calling

When someone says “tax the rich”, I hear from the government; “you’ve demonstrated you can add value, but I have greater knowledge than you so I know how to spend it better than you” From those who voted for the government; “give us other people’s stuff you promised us to win our votes, because we’re not capable of adding value ourselves” South Africa’s currency and exchange act is this in blazen clarity, and terrifying disregard for the rule of law and democracy if this goes through without being presented to the parliament . In this case, those proposing the law just want your assets and to destroy their country., they are the worse people setting an example for the less honest and creative to have precedence to develop their own laws. The Netherlands are already going this route. Stay frosty out there, minimise exposure, increase your offline sats and spend some time prepping your “oh shit, it’s time to leave” plan. The wolf is not far from the door.
