Good luck with that, Andy. Tough or even anything other than “just print more money” decisions have sailed through parliament over the past 5 years. image

Picked up a random book a professor at work was throwing out. “The ‘I’m telling you what you need’ would be replaced by “I’m listening for what you want’, and the basis for rational discussion would be opened.” First published in 1951, no much has changed. image

Gm nostriches, fun times with the kids in work yesterday, sorting my work dice, haircutting and just chilling out with dad. Was pretty good all in, then ending the day with a beautiful sky, finishing things off with some fish and chips from town before heading to the seaside on Friday…….. Brighton, 🧐 looking forward to seeing more “gays for Gaza” signs. Today, poor kid continuing the route towards straight teeth with some more tooth removal, time to stoke her up with some food this morning as her mouth will be all sorts of messed up by this afternoon. #coffeechain calm before the day begins, Great @npub1w4ds...3vhw episode to start the day, good hostility to the “consortium”.

A tough show to listen to by 2 left wing academics (not crazy left, but very “the unions were a good thing”), focusing on all that is wrong with the system without actually explored the processes that lead to value creating business that will create wealth and prosperity. Feel like they are too busy looking back and not giving enough attention on where we need to go. Always, the knocking of “middle class” as if they arrive with a silver spoon got a little repetitive. The middle class is getting crushed while the working have been turned into the welfare class, and loving it! “We need better story telling” 🤦‍♂️ But credit where credit’s due, Lisa did acknowledge that while she didn’t like Farage, he has helped begin to mix things up. Cheers @npub14mcd...frlx and awesome work Connor for picking them up on some contradictions.

It starts with telling you, you won’t get on the good side of the banks unless you follow his lead. Now, after settling up a consortium to fund and fix Bitcoin, he suggests @npub1lh27...a9nk has “just heard about Bitcoin and he’s here to fix it”. Wondering if someone needs to go and see Saylor and ask him if he’s ok? These are ramblings of someone who appears to have lost the point. Buying fiat, credit product buy backs, and poking fun at actual OGs. Slay your heroes, unsure he ever was, but I’m out of the fiat games completely. image

Ga nostriches, the Bitcoin consortium is strong today, the new coloured “dot” Saylor, what more fiat stacking for buybacks? Yeah, the S&P committee isn’t going to be won over by more fiat borrowed and buying back your own digital credit, I think they want “an operating company”. The reactions in suitcoiner world are kind of wild, patting the back of competitors for taking actions that are ultimately against the Bitcoin mission. Even the British suitcoiners are gldoing the same. Suitcoiners and influencoors coming out left right and centre about being pro core…….. like how much you have in a pension, no one asked, but I think you were told you needed to post that, “to show support”. #bip110

Gm nostriches, Monday morning and lying in bed with #coffechain, ah the joys of the first Monday of the school holidays, while heading to the fiat mine, no massive rush to peel the children out of their beautiful, recuperative slumber (getting back into “why we sleep”). Feeling the aches and pains of the weekend with continued painting, and the line no one wanted to hear “the front now looks like it needs repainting”………… “here’s a brush”. 😐 Solid Monday in the mine, the next #bip110 thought experiment in the chamber, feels like enough to keep me engaged in the fiat mine before bringing the kids in with me tomorrow while the “backseat painter” is off doing “her thing”. image

Some interesting writing to be done regarding the #bip110 implementation. Compliant blocks from large miners are an interesting sign, really wondering whether the Bitcoin holder masses need to put more money where their mouths are and splurge on some home mining equipment, so if worst comes to worst, we can all fire up some hashrate for when the corporate, fiat maxi miners run around with their tail between their legs not knowing which chain their fiat overlords want them to mine so the network can be maintained. The independent miner movement could be the progression of the “nodes have the power” of 2017. The corporate miners are forever fighting an unwinnable fight, fiat sustaining their ever reducing revenue. The grass roots miners have no such bind, they mine for heat, they mine to secure the network, they mine to add the blocks/transactions they want added. There will be books written about this, blockwars 2.0, Spam wars, The Bitcoin holders strike back? Who knows, but looking out for a miner myself. image

Gm nostriches, interesting time in “the parade” yesterday, love the pro choice perspective, although find when choices are different than the blue hairs like they really don’t like your ability to choose…… Unsure if all those in the march were quite aware of what they were supporting “Israel (and the UK) is a terrorist state”, hmmm, is that still pride? “Free Palestine” simple question, anyone know how your life choices would go down on the West Bank? Yeah, it’s as if you accept what you’ve been told and not really explored the implications of what you’ve now “believe”. Anyway, critical thinking is generally in a bear market, band wagons are very full, and if I can put off a difficult decision today in favour of a little fun, where is the harm in that. If nothing else, some preparation for when we head to Brighton at the end of the week. A little more paining today but first #coffeechain image

Ga nostriches, after some interesting #bip110 commentary from @npub10vlh...sp42 , thought I’d return to a Nov 2025 pod with @npub12tq9...kdcs, the foresight on this was wild and can’t give enough credit to them both for exploring this, sounding the alarm before so many were fully aware and it became quite so existential. “We need to smash core” or at least show them that if they make changes the nodes runners don’t like, they won’t get eternal Glory (a), they will have some find somewhere else to sell their services.
