We say "Bitcoin makes war unaffordable" but this ignores edge cases of religious extremists whose values hierarchies are skewed by dogmatism, prejudice, fear, & ego.
Bitcoin will do a lot towards this goal.
What else is needed to get humanity to the finish line of peace?
To rugpull religiously motivated violence will require more than changing the alignment of economic incentives.
To quote The Dirty Heads, "The grass is always greener, I said 'Fuck it. Burn the picket fence.'"
We must remove division and demonstrate unity between traditions.
Most people only ever study one religious tradition.
If they're a convert, maybe they've studied two.
That's not enough. We must study them all.
This doesn't mean we must accept every tenet of every tradition but we must explore them all looking for common ground.
Every tradition has a variant of the Golden Rule.
They're all saying the same thing.
You don't feel loved when people dismiss your expression of the significant. No one does.
Divisive dogmatism is 100% antithetical to abidance of the Golden Rule.
The common ground between the various traditions is robust signal.
Dogmatic heresy hunters produce a lot of signal obfuscating noise.
Treat each tradition like a courtroom witness.
Each witness offers testimony that allows us to come closer to the truth.
Many are afraid to even listen to the testimony of others.
The answer is to armor yourself with robust discernment by studying math, science, philosophy, logic, logical fallacies, debate, & argumentation.
Aristotle understood the importance of discernment & receptivity.
This doesn't mean you are an educated mind if you hear people out and reject what they've said.
It means you hear people out and you don't necessarily accept it.
It means you accept some things, investigate some things, and reject some things, ideally without prejudice.
Many Bitcoiners know the importance of self-verification when it comes to doing your own research, running a node, etc. yet when it comes to other areas of import, they drop the ball, preferring, instead, to remain prejudicially ignorant, mired in the comfort of the familiar. This is "arrested development".
Seek, and you shall find.
Love your neighbors as yourself.
The truth is out there.
Humble yourself, get off your ass, and begin a new journey of education.

Last night, I was working my way through some of Fulcanelli's book "Dwellings of the Philosophers". He spends probably 1/4 of the book covering the symbolism contained in the decorations of the Castle of Dampierre. One of the decorations was about the person from Greek mythology known as Narcissus.
While reading through that section, I learned that Narcissus, in Greek letters, is Νάρκισσος which relates to the Greek root word Νάρκη (Narke), also spelled Νάρκα (Narka) which means numbness or torpor. Fulcanelli related this to latency, sleepiness, hibernating animals, and patients under the influence of NARCotics.
I also noticed that Narka is extremely similar to Naka which is basically the same thing as Naga. Naga, in Sanskrit, means snake/serpent, most likely a reference to the kundalini serpent.
Fulcanelli also points out that the Narcissus plant has white or yellow flowers.
This got me thinking about what else I knew about the Narcissus story, namely that he was egotistical.
In 15.12 of the Law of One, the questioner asked "How does an individual go about balancing himself? What is the first step?"
Paring down Ra's response to the relevant part, Ra said "The third blockage resembles most closely that which you have called ego. It is the yellow-ray or solar plexus center."
The energy centers, a.k.a. chakras, are radiative which is why things like wheels and lotus flowers have been used as tangible analogs to describe them, and the solarplexus energy center is associated with the color yellow, just like the Narcissus flower. I don't think this is a coincidence.
In order for the dormant, numb, torpid, latent, hibernating kundalini serpent to awaken and activate higher energy centers, not only must spiritual accomplishments/lessons be learned and embodied, i.e. unconditional love, honesty/truth/knowledge, and surrender, the lower three energy centers must be balanced. Imbalance can be a lack of energy or an overabundance of energy.
The egotistical Narcissus had an overabundance of energy in his solarplexus chakra and, as such, his kundalini serpent remained dormant, asleep, numb. That's likely the moral of the story and the reason a yellow flower is named after him.
Given the presence of stones and 4 elements and a supposedly perfect being, it seems they were dancing around the notion from Hermetic Alchemy that the Philosopher's Stone is made from the four elements united in a state of natural and perfect balance.
Like Star Wars, The Matrix, Cinderella, The Greatest American Hero, Green Lantern, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other Hollywood productions, The Fifth Element is spiritual allegory that flies over the heads of most people.
As Evey Hammond's father is said to have said in V for Vendetta, "Artists use lies to tell the truth."
