There's a term for linguistic dialects that have been made intentionally difficult for outsiders to understand. Scottish English, Australian English, Ebonics, and even the Pikey English spoken by Brad Pitt's character in the Guy Ritchie movie "Snatch".
The term is "argot". The early 20th century French Hermetic Alchemist known pseudonymously as Fulcannelli pointed out that “dictionaries define argot as ‘a language particular to all individuals who have an interest in communicating their thoughts to each other without being understood by those around them.’” Fulcanelli, said “argot is one of the forms derived from the Language of the Birds, mother and dean of all the others, the language of philosophers and diplomats....This is the language which teaches the mystery of things and reveals the most hidden truths. The ancient Incas called it the Language of the Court, because it was familiar to diplomats, to whom it gave the key to a double science; sacred and profane science. In the Middle Ages it was called Gay Science or Gay Knowledge, the Language of the Gods, the Divine Bottle (fr: Dive-Bouteille). Tradition assures us that men spoke it before the building of the Tower of Babel, cause of its perversion and, for the greatest number, of the total forgetting of this sacred idiom.”
Argot is essentially linguistic cryptography, and as Fulcanelli stated, has a spiritual variant called, amongst other names, "the Language of the Birds". The Language of the Birds uses symbols and metaphorical language to both conceal and reveal deeper meanings, typically in a way that is opaque to the uninitiated. It involves phonetic analogies and plays upon the etymology of words forming a riddle to be solved.
Deciphering and translating the Language of the Birds has been a major focal point of my research over the last nearly 3.5 years. Here's the crazy part: I didn't even know that's what I was doing as I was doing it. I didn't learn about the term "Language of the Birds" until 2.75 years into this research bender.
When an archaeologist's perspective is valid, the archaeologist finds archaeological remains where they choose to dig. If a scientist's perspective is valid, the scientist has breakthroughs and discoveries. If a mathematician's perspective is valid, the mathematician will create novel theorems that are never disproven. That's just the way things go. Take from that what you will.
