The point is not that Python sits inside every hot GPU kernel making things 10x slower.
That is too simple.
JAX already proves something important: Python can be used as the front door while the real work is lowered through tracing, graph IR, compiler optimizations, PTX, SASS, and finally the hardware.
But that also exposes the deeper wound.
The real pain is not just Python.
The real pain is the tower of abstractions required to recover meaning from code.
