there is a difference between a followers count and a community.
A community creates connections between members.
They know each other, engage with one another and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
If something catastrophic happened to nostr (relays blocked, banned, architecture limitations, etc) we would just create something better/resilient and respawn the whole network over again.
What makes Nostr or Bitcoin valuable is not the tech, is the network of people running the stuff.
