Peer-to-Peer Bitcoin Education & Experiences. Community Educator of the Bitcoin Basin Circular Economy.
Please give a warm welcome to 2 new users of the Bitcoin Network! In just a few hours they learned the importance of holding their own keys and completed their first transactions, both on-chain and through the Lightning Network ⚡️ These personalised, accessible, step-by-step workshops are only possible thanks to the strong collaboration between Bitcoiners, which is helping build one of the fastest-growing circular economies: @Bitcoin Basin. NZ The question is: If someone else can freeze or devalue your money, do you really own it? Learn how to truly own your money. More workshops coming, in person, online, in English and Spanish. Onwards! image
Another great meetup at @Bitcoin Basin. NZ This month we met at Momentos by the Lake, with breathtaking views and seriously good food, paying for everything in #Bitcoin. Grateful for the people who keep showing up, sharing, and building this community together. Join us every 3rd Thursday of the month, a relaxed space to connect, learn, and be part of something growing. Everyone’s welcome. Until next time! image image
Alright plebs! Our next Monthly meetup at the @Bitcoin Basin. NZ is happening in the heart of Queenstown, right by the lake. This venue is giving Bitcoin a shot for the very first time, they’ll be accepting Bitcoin as payment exclusively for our event. Now it’s up to us: Let’s show them the incentives to become a permanent Bitcoin merchant. If you’re in Queenstown (or know someone who is), spread the word, come along, and top up your Lightning wallet to spend some sats! 📍 Location: Momentos by the Lake 🕠 Time: 17:30 See you there! image
Another successful Bitcoin Workshop 🙌 5 people learned how this incredible technology is reshaping the way we think about money, freedom, and ownership. Once you see it, it can’t be undone. Many more free workshops to come, thanks to the invaluable support of @Bitcoin Basin. NZ and Criterion Law Firm. image
It is easy to call Bitcoin a Ponzi. The hard part is explaining how it works. People claiming it has no value, most likely fail to explain in simple terms: Halving Difficulty adjustment Private key BIP 39 SHA-256 Proof of Work Bitcoin is an incredibly sophisticated and balanced system, the kind that only a very bright mind (or group of them) could create. I have yet to meet someone who understands difficulty adjustment and is not optimistic about #Bitcoin.

The POW LAB is the headquarters of @Bitcoin Basin. NZ A place where we not only host Bitcoin workshops for the local community, but also welcome Bitcoiners and open-source builders from all over the world, offering them a desk to work on freedom technologies. This space is only possible thanks to the generosity and collaboration among Bitcoiners. And because of that, we couldnt miss the opportunity to bring in some of the outstanding work created by the people we met in El Salvador during @PlanBElsalvador : • The beautiful original painting by @LewickiBartosz portraying the unstoppable honey badger against the fiat system • Bitcoin Circular Economies: documenting grassroots Bitcoin adoption and how it empowers communities and individuals around the world by @ivan_kaleja, @GabrielKurman, @b4_humanity • Bitcoin Prophecy: What Argentina Can Teach You About Your Money by @arielaguilar • Bitcoin Para Negocios: a practical guide for merchants, created by @Evelynlemus2906 and implemented in @BitcoinBerlinSV (especially relevant given the strong Latin American community in QT) All of these are now part of the community library, available for anyone to read and admire. If you’re coming to Queenstown, make sure to come and check out the amazing POW LAB! A fantastic place to connect and build. (
What to believe and who to trust when everything we see on a screen can be faked? You verify. That’s why we travelled across El Salvador for two weeks, the first country in history to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender. What we witnessed gave us tremendous hope. A country that only a few years ago had one of the highest crime rates in the world is now safe for locals and visitors alike. We spoke with many locals who lived through the change. Every single one told us the same thing: life is much better now. Many thanked Bukele for it. We saw Bitcoin being accepted across the country, from large venues to small market stalls, made possible by the efforts of passionate and dedicated Bitcoiners. We are so glad we timed our visit with the incredible Plan B Forum because it allowed us to meet innovators we admire, connect with amazing Bitcoiners from around the world and visit circular economies. Satoshi realigned the incentives for a better future. El Salvador followed and is already reaping the rewards. Seeing it with your own eyes changes everything. The rails of a new financial system are being built right now, one that doesn’t discriminate and gives anyone the ability to save and plan for the future. You can watch from the sidelines…or you can become part of one of the greatest peaceful revolutions in human history. We are more motivated than ever to do our part: helping build @Bitcoin Basin. NZ circular economy in Queenstown and spreading #Bitcoin education across all New Zealand.

We are born into an oppressive system. Education is the path to freedom. Follow the white rabbit. —- Nacemos en un sistema opresivo. La educación es el camino a la libertad. Seguí al conejo blanco. #Bitcoin image

We just witnessed in real time how Open Claw can: • Make phone calls on your behalf, using your voice. • Build a webpage in minutes. • Create its own Bitcoin wallet and send/receive sats. From here, there are only two options: An exciting path, if we pay attention and adapt. An unsettling path, if we decide to ignore whats happening. We all have a choice to make. Thank you, Sean and @Rob , for an outstanding presentation at Pow Lab Queenstown. image

“The outcome of World Bank and the IMF policies on the Third World has been remarkably similar to what was experienced under traditional imperialism: wage deflation, a loss of autonomy, and agricultural dependency. The big difference is that, in the new system, the sword and the gun have been replaced by weaponized debt.” After reading “Hidden Repression: How the IMF and World Bank Sell Exploitation as Development” by @npub1trr5...hdpu , you realize that some international organizations, while pretending to be a helping hand, may actually be the boot that prevents developing countries from standing up and thriving. Many real cases are documented in the book, but one thing in particular stands out and should undeniably raise a red flag (or at least an eyebrow): the billions of dollars loaned by these institutions to authoritarian regimes all over the world. It is hard enough to hold democratically elected officials accountable, imagine dictators who care only about power and violence. What do you think they will do when borrowing money they do not have to repay themselves? As always, the ones who pay the price are the most vulnerable. I started reading this book in El Salvador while visiting blossoming Bitcoin circular economies such as Bitcoin Beach and @BitcoinBerlínSV . Witnessing them firsthand is powerful, they are living proof that Bitcoin realigns incentives and, in doing so, helps prevent this kind of abuse from taking place. That is one of the many reasons why Bitcoin is hope.

If you are visiting El Salvador, you must get in touch with @npub18rjd...fxch Napo will sort you out with: •Airport transfers •Vehicle rentals •Tours to circular economies such as El Zonte, Berlin, Santa Ana and more, where you can see firsthand how Bitcoin is reshaping communities. Being able to pay for everything with #bitcoin is not even the best part, having a friendly, professional, and reliable local is. We will definitely get in touch again when we return to El Salvador. Gracias Napo!

From New Zealand to El Salvador. Thousands of kilometres, multiple security checks and border crossings… but always in full control. No third party can stop you from accessing your money. No one can devalue it. You can transact with anyone. It’s a new era, but most people are completely unaware. Thats why education is key. Use hardware wallets to keep your #Bitcoin private keys offline and increase your security. The Bluetooth feature on the Jade by @Blockstream is pretty handy when travelling. Thank you #planbelsalvador for an epic conference. We are definitely coming back next year.

No importa dónde estén, vayan a eventos, conferencias, meetups o incluso créenlos ustedes mismos.

You know how early we are? When you time things right, you get to learn directly from the innovators. @npub1ql2z...rxya delivered an open-to-everyone talk explaining why Bitaxe is disrupting the mining industry, how it all started, the challenges and the massive potential ahead. There was even time for a Q&A! As if there werent already enough reasons to visit the #Bitcoin Country, #Bitcoinbeach and the beautiful beach of El Zonte… Plus, with a little bit of luck, you might even randomly cross paths with fellow Bitcoiners like @Joe Nakamoto , probably gathering material for more great content. Make sure to check the recording by following @npub1ludx...dzq0 on Nostr and X , the legends who organized this memorable event. image

We are more motivated than ever to keep building New Zealand’s first BCE: @Bitcoin Basin. NZ Thank you, Evelyn , Gerardo, and the whole team for the warm welcome and for organising the memorable MoE experience through @Satlantis: Social Events

Hands down, one of the best talks at Plan B El Salvador. This is what #Bitcoin is all about: social transformation by putting the tools in the hands of the people who need them most. Leveling the playing field and giving everyone the opportunity to save and improve their future. It started in El Zonte, and now circular economies are sprouting all over the world, the most recent circular economies to be featured in future editions include many African countries, Peru, and beyond. Make sure to read this fantastic book by Gabriel Kurman, Ivan Kaleja and Bitcoin For Humanity, all proceeds are donated to circular economies and educational projects.

A Bitcoin mining revolution is happening as we speak. Bitaxe is reclaiming the open source value originally intended by Satoshi. This is only possible thanks to open source developers, big shout out to the @256 FOUNDATION for supporting them. Thanks @npub1ql2z...rxya inspiring talk today at Plan B, the scope of Bitcoin Journey has expanded. From this moment on, our mission is to place a hardware wallet AND a Bitaxe in every home. By making this project open source, it becomes more affordable and decentralization becomes inevitable. Onwards image
