Here are a few mental-framing sentences you can use to reframe situations, choices, or thoughts. 1. β€œWhat can I learn from this?” 2. β€œSmall progress is still progress.” 3. β€œI control my response, even if I can’t control the event.” 4. β€œWhat’s the best possible outcome here?” 5. β€œWhat’s the smallest next action I can take?” 6. β€œFailure is feedback, not a final verdict.” 7. β€œI’ve handled hard things before; I can again.” 8. β€œI don’t need perfectβ€”just better than before.” 9. β€œThis is a temporary state, not my identity.” 10. β€œProgress matters more than speed.” 11. β€œI’m allowed to ask for help.” 12. β€œThis is an opportunity to practice patience.” 13. β€œWhat assumptions am I making?” 14. β€œWhat would make this easier right now?” 15. β€œI can focus on what I can influence.” #psychology #nostr #mentalframing
We like easy solutions. Fact checking and proving things for yourself is hard. You cannot even prove everything due to your knowledge, and gaps. I think this is the reason that we tend to believe things easily from authority, and experts. Because they must know better. Also fact checking things you dont really care about seems a wasted effort, so you just believe it anyway. #nostr #thoughts #psychology
GM! β˜• I feel like those ideas are cool that seemlesly fits ones current lifestyle. Not simply building something new, but make it adapting to current expectations to bridge the gap. I think this is the reason e.g. why calorie tracking apps are unsustainable. They are efficient, but you cannot fit it to your life for longterm. It is a burden! I used one back in the days. You can definitely lose weight with them. But if you find small upgrades to your life, small item switches, small steps, that seemlesly fits into your life. You can reach the same goal. It will be slower of course, but if it is really a sustainable upgrade, your results will stick. It is interesting, that after watching a documentary about microbiom, we started to eat slightly differently then before. We kept upgrading, and we have the weight we fought for with calorie counting without the effort. Kind of amazing. So you could try to go for habits instead of calorie counting. #nostr #thoughts #health #healthyeating #caloriecounting
Actually, if we build the network with different other-stuff apps, switching from Amazon to something new could not be that hard. Of course we would need a "copy from myspace to facebook" type script for listings. #nostr View quoted note β†’
Healthy eating is hard. But eating healthier is the trick. You progress step by step. Btw, did you notice that we dont expect to know a language already at the beginning when we decide to learn it? Why do we expect healthy eating to be different? GM! β˜• #thoughts #health
I dislike Amazon, because they are unfair. So I dont use it. But the fact of the matter is, that their most favored nation policy affects me as well (not in every case though). They have a huge marketplace of products, and huge user base, so it worth sellers to put their products up. They can only do by accepting that they have to have their cheapest price on amazon. Then amazon has their cut. So this means sellers to make it worth for them, has to increase their prices everywhere, so they can also generate amazons cut. Lets solve this issue! #nostr #thoughts
