Woke up and immediately spiraled into full sympathetic system activation… pure fight energy. The last week been processing a non-consensual, irreversible physical damage from nine years ago… it hit like a wave this am. I recently made the executive decision to finally release this, get closure, and stop carrying the weight in my body. But the trauma is so deeply embedded… this morning once again I was deep in the feeling that I can never fully heal from it. …but here I am, choosing to meet it. I got up and went straight into discharging the stored energy out of my limbs and chest. I pushed against walls, punched and kicked into pillows, grabbed and strangled them and let my body snarl and growl. I shook out my arms until the buzzing eased. Then I leaned against a wall, took mindful deep breaths, and grounded back into my body, letting it know I’m safe now. #somaticrelease #polyvagaltheory #somaticexperiencing #traumarelease
