I suspect that I am not alone in enjoying video content. And like many of you, I often find myself caught up in short-form videos on YouTube, in spite of knowing that it's quite the unhealthy 'guilty pleasure'. In case you needed to hear it, this is your reminder to spend more of your time on long-form video content, to both develop your focus & deep work skills but also to learn something of value! https://yt.drgnz.club/watch?v=OChRbv5mnl8
For the more technically inclined, I'm trying to help someone answer the following questions but don't quite know all of the technical details to help provide a nuanced response: While Tails loaded and used from a USB drive provides solid privacy, neither leaking data when connected over Tor nor leaving a trace on the machine in question, what would the security risks be of running Ubuntu or Mint off of a USB drive and connecting to WiFi with a VPN and/or Tor enabled? Assuming that the person using the latter strategy doesn't save any data to the USB drive and can secure the drive itself, would there be any major risk to that strategy for day-to-day operations? The person in question's threat model does not include nation-state actors. The person simply wants to gain a bit more privacy when connecting to work laptops or public machines when out and about. #privacy #security #opsec @SimplifiedPrivacy.com
Gm/Ga/Ge/Gn, nostriches! It's #coffeechain time, wherever you are in the world! Pull up a seat, grab a cup, and enjoy.
I just stumbled upon @FreeFrom Offical English Community via the global feed, and it looks like a pretty sleek mobile client for both iOS and Android. The theme song they've got playing on their website is admittedly rather catchy too! Anyone tried it out yet?
Fellow nostriches, how many of you are on a (nearly?) full Bitcoin standard? Alternatively, when you hear 'living on a Bitcoin standard', what does that look like in your day-to-day life? View quoted note →
