Android #Olas users, did you login via bunker, nsec or some other means? I've not yet been able to log in with bunker and don't feel comfortable using my nsec right now.

I woke up earlier today, suffering from "last-song syndrome". I haven't heard this particular song in months, but yet it has been playing in my head all day.
...and now I'll share it with you too! Good luck!
Are there any Nostr clients that would allow us to test out relays and to see what kind of content comes through from our followers vs a 'global' feed (from a particular relay or set of relays)?
I'd love to mess around more with relay management but also don't want to mess up my existing setup too much. Having the option to experiment on a 'test' client would be immensely helpful.

On and off over the last year or so, I've toyed around with the idea of getting an old-school AlphaSmart-style portable word processor.
The idea came to me again this morning, so I've been going down the usual internet rabbit holes, trying to see what options out there nowadays.
While this isn't quite what I need, I was really intrigued by this option of turning an old Kindle into a screen for on-the-go coding, when coupled with a Raspberry Pi and keyboard:

A colleague has started to use Google's NotebookLM to produce study guides, a podcast episode, etc. for his students to use. Admittedly, it's a neat little tool, but I do wonder if any FOSS and/or more privacy-related options exist.
For example, can I install and run a comparable, offline AI tool on my own desktop, something that will provide an AI-generated set of notes, a fictitious podcast episode, etc. for use in the classroom?

I've been away for a few days and am slowly catching up on the news regarding the inauguration, Ross, etc.
So far, my one outstanding question is, did this ... person return for the latest inauguration to provide us with meme-worthy content?

Has anyone ever tried an offline, mobile-based AI?

Online and distance learning opportunities have opened doors for many students around the world. However, not everyone is cut out for this mode of study, which often requires additional motivation, focus, and time management skills.
In a recent IHE article, there were some rather surprising statistics that illustrate this point:
“Fewer than half of students at the largest nonprofit online institutions earn a degree after eight years. Is it an unfortunate reality or a cry for accountability?”
“Part-time, first-time students in online programs have an even harder time achieving completion. At both SNHU and Grand Canyon, only 14 percent of that population in the IPEDS cohort earned an award after eight years. At Liberty, 19 percent did.
The average eight-year national completion rate for all students is around 65 percent, according to a December report from the National Student Clearinghouse.”

Is anyone else getting a ton of bizarre spam notifications recently?
Also, it may be related to my relay setup on the various clients, but the spam only seems to be showing up on @YakiHonne and not on moStard, Primal, etc.

New Year's Eve has always been a time for reflection and reminiscing for me.
I often think about years gone by, people and experiences from my past, books I've read, places I've gone, songs I've listened to. Sometimes, I even go back to look through old journal entries.
What are you doing today?
Under a Bitcoin standard, how could we go about approaching things like import duties? Should individual citizens be charged for bringing in items for personal use and consumption, whether they be books, cosmetics, food items, or even Bitcoin miners?
