I just stumbled upon this amazing website: image Its author writes: “I don’t think websites were ever intended to be made only by “web professionals.” Websites are documents at heart. Just about everyone knows how to make a document in this digital age, be it Word, Google Docs, Markdown, or something else. HTML shouldn’t be an exception. Sure it’s a bit more technical than other types of documents, but it’s also very special. It’s the document format of the web.” Now that we have the Nostr protocol and ecosystem, I believe HTML is even more important and a website like this might indeed help non-tech people to dare more, to experiment with the building blocks of the web.

Weg.li is a website that allows you to post photo evidence of illegal parking, and automatically notifies local police via email of the violation. Weg.li is currently widely used in most of Germany. Being part of a community also means respecting other people's right to safe crossroads, accessible cycle paths, clear sidewalks, ... I understand this might result controversial to some, but I’d really love to see a tool like this in my town. I also appreciate the fact that this was a grassroots initiative that eventually got the attention and support of several local police districts. /cc @Katja Diehl

"If the Democrats are serious about getting back to some of their roots as the party of working class people [...], they will find Bitcoin is an incredible tool to that end. With Bitcoin there is no barrier to ownership, no middleman, no broker or bank you must use or be “accredited” by." @Trey Walsh take on the recent elections, full article here:

Search in Nostr is still pretty lame. I primarily use @primal, and most of the search results I get are from imported Mastodon accounts and imported RSS feeds. These accounts only post impersonal content with little opportunity for interaction. Is there any good Nostr client out there (web and/or Android) that allows me to filter search results? (e.g. only from my extended network, only in a certain language, ...)
