Never forget: Nostr mutes are a super power. Why? Both parties win. Both parties are free and sovereign over their own timelines. You can mute the bad actor and no longer see them. They can continue to act badly and comment on your notes Win/Win.

it's hard a truth, even for me, but we have many bad actors among us. some of them are two faced friends. some are pathological liars. some are scammers pretending to be nice. it is 'the internet' after all, and you cannot easily read someone's face or hear someone's tone. stay vigilant.

you need a conspiracy? here's one. it honestly wouldn't surprise me if nostr's most blocked user, the same user that has complained about Primal for years, the same user that spammed nostr with gay porn for months, the same user that is complaining about CSAM on Primal without receipts, would also be the same one that is uploading the alleged illegal content to Primal's blossom.

the clowns of today just don't know or understand the sheer volume of unregulated internet that we consumed in the 90s.

Good morning and pura vida, Nostr! If you're going to build a community you need to actually build it. Words and actions matter. Hold people accountable for both. ๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’œ

I spent two weeks on a cruise ship getting the same question: why does a social media company need Bitcoin? Here's the whole answer. It has nothing to do with price charts. Why Bitcoin: The Base Layer of Freedom Tech Spoiler: I mentioned @gladstein and Check Your Financial Privilege

Back from two weeks sailing from Barcelona to Rome, and the team did not slow down. Here's everything Soapbox shipped while I was eating cannoli in Sicily. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป THE NUMBERS ๐Ÿ”ต Ditto: 5 releases (v2.35.0 โ†’ v2.36.0) ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ Armada: 6 releases in 14 days (v0.55 โ†’ v0.59.1) โšก Agora v2.11.0 ๐ŸŽญ Shakespeare v9.15.0 ๐Ÿ”’ A security hardening sweep across 8 repos DITTO: TAKE EVERYTHING WITH YOU The big one. Ditto v2.36.0 ships full account Import & Export. Download your entire post history to a .jsonl file you own, then push it back to any relay you want. Per-relay progress, resume if the connection drops, and a full network scan for the deep archives. No export buttons that rate-limit you. No "request your data" forms. No 30-day waits. You can leave anytime and take everything with you. Also new: NIP-99 classified listings render as rich feed cards (price, photos, the works), and Ditto now strips tracking parameters from links in both directions. You share a story. Not a surveillance payload. ๐Ÿ”’ AGORA: FUNDRAISING ANYWHERE v2.11.0 ships an embed builder. Pick a widget, choose light or dark, preview it live, and paste it onto any website. Two of the widgets take real Bitcoin donations right there on the page: BIP-21 QR, Taproot + Silent Payments, no custodian, no platform fees. 100% reaches the recipient. Fundraising that can't be deplatformed, syndicated anywhere on the internet. โšก SHAKESPEARE: ONE-CLICK AI v9.15.0 adds Meridian as a one-click AI provider preset. Build Nostr apps by talking to them, no API config required. Plus Optimize Repository and zap invoice verification. ๐ŸŽญ ARMADA: THE SHIP KEPT SHIPPING Six releases, nine contributors: ๐ŸŽฎ Mini App multiplayer with Vector, P2P over iroh gossip, in the browser ๐Ÿ“ฆ DM-scoped WebXDC apps living inside conversations ๐Ÿ”” Notification center + reliable cross-platform notifications ๐Ÿ’ป Markdown in chat, syntax-highlighted ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Anti-spam defenses against future-dated message attacks ๐Ÿš€ Releases published as kind-30622 Nostr events. The app auto-updates from relays. No app store, no update server. The corporate release pipeline, replaced by Nostr events. Your apps should update the way your money moves: peer to peer. Even our websites moved to nsite deploys. nostrhub, birdstar, ditto web, agora web: all served from Nostr, no origin servers. The company building Nostr now hosts its own front door on Nostr. ๐ŸŒ SECURITY: WE AUDIT OURSELVES While I was gone, @Alex Gleason ran a hardening sweep across basically everything we ship: zap and on-chain invoice verification, deep links handled as data, SafeZip, content-type allowlists, CSP tightening, repost impersonation fixes, HTTP signature enforcement. nostrify 0.55.0 shipped the validation primitives for the whole stack.

Back from my two weeks "mostly off". It was my first proper non-working vacation in a very, very long time. I needed it. Feeling recharged and grinding out a million tasks a minute thanks to my agents :P But I've got a problem: my workflow lives in four places that I've built over the last year. And it keeps growing... I need to consolidate. Onyx: full built-in doc editor + explorer, my second brain for tasks, writing, everything, no dev work. OpenClaw: talk to my agents and work on ideas and light dev work from anywhere via Signal. Armada: workspaces I built this to talk to OpenClaw in a very specific way with various workflows. I can use this for nearly everything, but it's brain is still OpenClaw. Buzz: these agent personas that get me exactly as organized as Onyxโ€ฆ with way more work, but it has access to my full development brain and organizational brain. Oh yeah, I still use OpenCode for all serious development tasks. I LOVE OpenCode. Ugh. So this week's mission: stop fucking around and consolidate. Leaning toward Buzz + OpenClaw, and OpenClaw 2.0 looks worth exploring. Too many tools, too little time.
