nostr doesn't have a good enough replacement for the forum. we just have stacker news. it's too focused on earning money and being bitcoin branded and the UX smells like reddit. I hate stacker news. it's totally cringe. I want a UX closer to xenforo or imageboards. and I want it so that anyone can choose to be a moderator of a forum and anyone can ignore the moderator's actions if they do a bad job. we have "groups" in some clients but the UX is all over the place and smells too much like microblogging.

I'm not buying drivechains. Paul's design lets miners steal from sidechains, explicitly. He makes social assumptions that they will not. He ensures that if they tried it will take 3-6 months, and he makes more social assumptions that the community will magically coordinate during this window to stop the theft. But the community is so uncoordinated it can no longer tie its own shoes. The "community" is regulated institutions and Michael Saylor. Paul already knows this. If he didn't already know this, he would not have given up and done his own fork. This whole story doesn't add up. On "lightning bad" and "why sidechains," Paul is right. On "how sidechains," he's probably wrong. This solution seems equally as lazy as federations.

why onchain zaps? in bitcoin's infancy people didn't know about scaling and the police didn't look at anything. the onchain UX was quite good and it didn't need any complexity or trusted third parties. we now have scaling and privacy issues and some of you fruitcakes decided the only answer was to reintroduce trusted third parties and throw the original UX in the trash. and now it comes as a surprise that some people value elements of the original UX more than they value dicking around on this ever growing mountain of complexity. time spent on lightning is a waste. cashu, spark, arkade, liquid boltz swaps, LSP businesses?? it's like you're in a competition with ethereum to make the most complex shit imaginable. nobody needs or wants trusted third parties or complexity. stop this nonsense.

perceived low adoption of nostr is entirely your fault for being a toxic bitcoin maximalist. always shoving bitcoin and saylorisms into every conversation. you are utterly repellent and log in with google buttons can't fix that.

CTV has more technical consensus than taproot did. but they can't do it because it will eventually destroy the business model of centralized lightning companies. you're captured.

people confuse me for a monero worshipper. I want something else which doesn't exist yet. but it's hard to believe that bitcoin will ever get that thing because you retards want to ossify your trusted third parties and never improve bitcoin again. and it's easy to recognize the dominant currency on DNMs and the reasons why they don't use lightning. ossify? ossify what? what are you ossifying?

my favorite thing about nostr is I don't have to talk to anybody who's incapable of generating a key pair

what do these things have in common? >a nostr client with a google sign in button >a bitcoin wallet with a trusted third party >a woman with an adam's apple
