figuring it all out I appreciate your humor, insight, and your post whether or not I agree

does anyone know why the Salem witch trials happened? from what i gather: a young (apparently charismatic) preacher moved to New England from England. he riled people up against "witches" his daughter and her friends started accusing people of being witches. if those people didn't confess and rat out their co-conspirators, they were put on trial. this process ended up killing an 80 year old Rebecca Nurse who wasn't putting up with this nonsense about witches. --- what were these really about? was this a form of color revolution from the crown to destabilize the colonies? was it a simple land grab of old money by up-and-coming money? were there real witches consorting with he-who-must-not-be-named? was it a localized insanity? was it the government or the church doing this? was it pre-separation of church and state? --- the explanation that i heard is: fundamental christian pastor avails himself of systemic sexismto further persecute women --- i'm very curious because "new-in-town" people don't generally wield that much influence. so i'm really wondering what was going on back in the day...

I'm fighting serious prepper urges this morning. maybe I should at least go to the ATM and get some cash out.

Buying a Tesla seems like such a waste of money. I'd rather be biking However, when one must drive, there's a high value on safety. When I was broke, a 25 year old car was great. I still want a 25 year old car, but I also want a car that watches out for hazards for me. I should probably model out: How likely are accidents in Tesla versus non Tesla If there's an insurance for all accidents that Tesla can prevent, what would be the monthly cost?

venturing over to the AgTalk forum to see what they are saying about bitcoin. do they know about Nostr? do they need censorship resistance when talking about the price of hay? do they know about the soybean conspiracy? would they like to zap each other electric commodity "at the speed of light"?

Midnight, turning over in bed. hearing my heart beat in the pillow. alone, i think to myself, "i'm already living the life of 70 year old widows and widowers with 30 years to go". A bang outside and a cow moos. "has she fallen into a hole" my brain tries to interpret the timbre of the moo. these creatures are so giant and gentle. They need humans. the cows are black and bull is red with a white face. by the amount of calves popping out on the daily, he must be busy, but he appears laid-back. he's always with one cow or the other. he will spend all day with one--grazing by her side, licking her neck. she puts her ears back--sign of pleasure if i ever saw one.. The cows have had their calves shipped off to market for $2000 a pop. sky high cattle prices right now... for the next 2 nights after the calves are gone, the cows moan with their moos throughout the night. it sounds like crying. but the bigger calves are a drain on the mothers. now that they are gone, the cows can eat less. they've even been laying in the field in the sun. it's like vacation time. and the bull is sidling up beside one or the other. i can almost hear him "do you want a little one that looks like you or me". half of the calves are black like their mom, the rest are red with a white face like their dad, and then there's a few odd balls that are black with a white face.. anyway. the farm reeks of fertility.
