Buying a Tesla seems like such a waste of money.
I'd rather be biking
However, when one must drive, there's a high value on safety. When I was broke, a 25 year old car was great. I still want a 25 year old car, but I also want a car that watches out for hazards for me.
I should probably model out:
How likely are accidents in Tesla versus non Tesla
If there's an insurance for all accidents that Tesla can prevent, what would be the monthly cost?

liability insurance in a tesla is probably pretty low, for tjebreason you mention. but unless you own it outright, you're gonna have full coverage.
just checked: 200-300$ a month for insurance
that's a lot more than the 80 bucks i pay... i'll probably just drive extra careful with my old car.
there's a Comma AI $999 device that can convert 2016 and newer vehicles to self driving on highways... i've been really wanting to try that. however, the Tesla system works everywhere, including parking lots.
I might convert my 90s vehicle to auto at some point.. not to it's possible with all open-source software & hardware tho.
until then, if I have to do something automated or "safer" it will likely be a lease
90s vehicle to Auto as in electric steering/adaptive cruise control in it?
if so that sounds like a challenging project! i do kinda wonder how hard it is to convert an older vehicle to something that could drive itself.
it's probably only worth it for highly valuable vehicles though
yah, the value of this particular rust bucket is fully subjective hahah. sold all my chairs but had to keep a vehicle
