summer is OVERRATED

they turned node running into a niche nerd thing to do. but each bitcoin user suppose to be a node runner, each node supposed to be a bitcoin user. but they are still designing node software for servers. bip110 is the first softfork that does something good for the node runners. this all becomes controversial because of the lack of node runners, if we had each bitcoin user running full node for everything bitcoin. then we would have easier time doing softforks that makes node running easier. the ideal state of node running would be, everyone having one on their phone.
