some people who are blindly anti-bip110 seem to focus on "good vibes" bitcoin. not realizing they are undermining everything they cherish about bitcoin. bitcoin is not magic. bitcoin doesnt live in the clouds. running a node HAS TO BE as simple as running a wallet app.

connected you Phoenix lightning wallet to your own electrum server with bip110. and i know its kinda clunky without nwc but use external wallet (Phoenix) for your zaps. or you can host a nwc server on top of your lightning server if it exists, already. never done it before. buch each nostr client have zap with external wallet option. use that. make sure Phoenix is connected to your bip110 electrum server.

seedsigner is cool but i dont think hardware wallets are the future of bitcoin. you cant create mass adoption by requiring people to buy something. let them use their phones. and make that secure. these signer cards, hardware wallets, node in a box boxes, are all just gadgets for the nerds. we need to make running a node on your laptop easier again. and we need better mobile wallets.

You have 2TB disk space, and you have to pick between storing Bitcoin Ledger, Games, Pictures and Videos, or LLM Models. Issue is why do you have to pick?

if we didnt have segwit discount timechain would have been only ~500GB rn. instead its ~750GB (excluding the indexes and stuff that makes the chain data actually useful). you wouldnt need a 2TB drive. you would need less bandwidth as well. less processing power too. after taproot and spam, processing power requirements went even higher. its funny how we are keep damaging the thing we should maximize and optimize for, which is making running a node easier. bitcoin is the NODE you have. bitcoin doesnt live on the sky, you alone run all of bitcoin yourself. all of the ideas of bitcoin being decentralized are based on every user being a node. if you are not using your own node you are not using bitcoin. you dont have to know how your node works, or be a nerd to run a node. bitcoin user by definition is a node. but its too complex, too user unfriendly. its almost like they dont want you to run your own instance of bitcoin.
