With Super Young Kids Learning To Ride A Bike (My son was 4yrs old and this worked like magic) —— - Buy one from a decent bike shop to make this process easy on you if you aren’t confident on a wrench. - Make sure the seat will drop down low for him to confidently touch the ground. - Get one with a hand brake. - No training wheels (they cause the wrong reactions to the physics) - Have the shop tech remove the drive train. They can pull the pedals, cranks, front chain ring and chain. Everything is removed from the bottom bracket so there’s nothing to bash shins on. This makes it a push bike like a strider. But with a brake for bombing hills. They’ll put all of that stuff in a box for you and you take it home. A few weeks of this bike and your kid will be ready for the drive train again. They’ll know how to brake. They’ll naturally know how to steer correctly. As soon as you see them going 40 or 50 feet without touching the ground, all while stopping comfortably with the brake, you can go back to the shop and have the parts in the box put back on. Easy peasy. No big hazardous crashes. No drama. They just learn it easily the right way and live a life of bicycles without unlearning the training wheel crap or having dramatic crashes while learning the basics. image

Missouri makes moves to defend against getting put on their heels by customers that are hungry for power over 75MW per month. I am excited to also see what Missouri does to meet the spiked power demand with new generation. Readily available power leads to innovation, jobs, prosperity and a higher living standard. That is hope. Hope makes fewer addicts and a better, more prepared labor force. I'm looking forward to see what we can do to build that future. When you see the plans for building out new power generation, get behind it. It's what paves future decades for the prosperity of our communities. image

The second prototype version of the NerdOctaxe arrived from PlebSource today. The RoninMiner Bitaxe is still the group’s fearless leader in my mind, but this Octaxe is a great addition to our #SoloLotto army.

@Bitcoin Park made a pile of angry bitcoin Uncutes by Block available for new merchants. I restocked their “WTF is Bitcoin” book supply and took a plush for my local merchants new to Bitcoin. image

Another great week in Nashville came to a close. Much work. Some play. Great steaks. What a perfect island of Bitcoin focus @Bitcoin Park is for keeping momentum. Plus the CMA’s, and WME after-party shenanigans were a rare treat for this visit.

It ended up so nice out yesterday. My friend and I didn’t miss many Friday afternoons this year. It’s nice to have a relaxing outdoor time slot on the calendar with good company. Expecting winter any minute now. These #golf days are a treat.

My first bitcoin retail purchase on lightning via Square PoS. (And yes, the water tastes like it’s the best Memphis has to offer.) The capp is fantastic though. I have to learn to steam milk properly so I can make my own while at @Bitcoin Park image

Passing through Charlotte on the way to Nashville…don’t ask. Ha! Why build a train between terminals when you can just post how long your ass is expected to be walking instead. image

Delivering a fresh batch of books to the local meetup organizers. This book is perfect for those who prefer reading and are starting at zero on their learning path. If you host a meetup hit me up and I’ll get you a batch at my cost. Just under $5 ea if you take my shipment straight from the publisher. Recommend keeping 5 or 10 handy for those noob-pulp-readers that are eager to learn, but can be intimidated by the tech. image

Just got back from from Mining Disrupt at Dallas. Send your kids to trade school and teach them social skills, logic and strategy. AI is replacing mid-tier admins and software engineers slowly then quickly. But you wouldn’t believe how many rough-necks earning a living wage I saw walking around the expo floor. Dirty boots, dirty jeans, sharp minds. Welders, pipe, fitters, hash board repair techs. Even among the immersion system set up, maintenance, and relocation work. And this is just among bitcoin mining. Same thing is going on among datacenter and AI, as power and compute becomes more decentralized from the large facilities and localized for commoditized processing and power generation for communities.

You know that industrial scale electrical componentry that keeps your miners hooked to the local grid just right? Was great to meet Ethan Ellenberg of Moonshot that builds out these critical racks, switches, and modules.
