One thing that indicates a lot about a society as a whole is HOW its people live out their faith. Bear with me because I’m going to talk about children and people with special needs.
There is a possibility that an mRNA vaccine will “help prevent” children that have special needs. Do not stay asleep on this possibility. This is absolutely controversial and could easily divide cultures and subcultures. I pray we do not go down this path.
When my wife and I had a child with special needs there was an effort made to get us to change course, to exercise the “options” related to continuing the pregnancy. The perinatal center, well, her conversation with us made me mad and 🤢.
How parents cope, deal, handle and work through the situations God puts before them with their unborn children says a lot about a culture. It says a lot about their faith. All people believe in something, the question is what or who. So as you move through your day today, think about this: are you living out your faith?
Are you prepared to answer for your actions? All of us need to be on our knees with respect to how we have sinned. There is not one human that is worthy, not even one (Romans 3:10-12). It’s only by his mercy and grace He he freely offers that anyone can come even close. Boldly live out your faith today. “The grass withers and the flower fades but the word of our God will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Retired first responder, Dad, business developer, husband to She. Boldly live out your faith
“Hear, O sons, a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight, for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching.
Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many. I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness.
Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.”
Proverbs 4:1-2, 10-11, 24-27 ESV

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them in the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.”
Proverbs 3: 1-4, 13-14, 27 ESV
“Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.
An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all’.”
Proverbs 31: 8-9,10-12, 16-17, 26-29 ESV

“A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.
One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, but one whose way is straight is an abomination to the wicked.”
Proverbs 29: 11, 23, 27 ESV
😂😂😂😅😛
Just listening to CD146 with @npub10r8x...t2p8 @franzap Good conversation. I became aware (again) how prehistoric I am. I’ve been using Mac since the Mac Plus in ‘85. 😜 only as a user tho. I’ll tell that story tonight in my podcast https://youtube.com/@bitcoingenerations?feature=shared.
It’s for new Bitcoiners and Baby Boomers sleeping on 🌽 and/or poisoning their mind and palate with shipcoinery. This one to includes selling Macs to students at the Spartan Bookstore at San Jose State and in Silicon Valley in the late 80s, and went on to a full time career fireman in early 90s through retirement. That said… How do we bring value today? This is helpful when viewed through the lens of where we’ve been in the larger scale of software (and hardware) development that really gained momentum in the 80s. Too long of a post already.
Absolute respect for you guys who dev all day and night. In fact I’m here because of what you all built and continue to build. Many thanks. Listening to CD also to learn how to support and educate Boomers. BHSS

“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: But the righteous are bold as a lion. Evil men understand not judgment: But they that seek the LORD understand all things.
Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, He shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: But he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: But he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
To have respect of persons is not good: For for a piece of bread that man will transgress. He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, And considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.”
Proverbs 28:1, 5-6 18-19, 21-22 KJV
“One who is full loathes honey, but to one who is hungry everything bitter is sweet.
As in water face reflects face, so the heart of a man reflects the man.
Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied, and never satisfied are the eyes of man.
Know well the condition of your flocks, and give attention to your herds, for riches do not last forever; and does a crown endure to all generations?”
Proverbs 27: 7, 19-20, 23 ESV
“Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself.
Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.
As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife.”
Proverbs 26: 4-5, 21 ESV
Hello, do we have any Amish on here on nostr? Now that would be a great conversation. Serious
#amish
After listening to O’Dell /Dorsey going to start taking nostr content and posting it on X. Education cross pollination onto that platform is a net positive for nostr, per Dorsey if I understood him right. No problem, I can definitely do that.
Who’s in?
“A word fitly spoken is like apples in a setting of silver. Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reproved to a listening ear.
Trusting in a treacherous man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth or a foot that slips.
If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head.
Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked”
Proverbs 25: 11, 19, 21, 26 ESV
