I was never a protocol dev.
Client bred and client born.
Ribbit is coming.
The unexpected consequence of event kinds is that kind-1, kind-11, and kind-1111 are all interchangeable.
Feeds are meant to be exploding with life, not limited to just a few kinds.
Why not comment on a kind-1? The context lives with the relay.
Why not quote a kind-1 in a kind-1111 comment?
Why not republish a thread via kind-1?
What the heck are we doing?
Does no client support this?
Make Nostr Great Again
The slopacolypse is here to stay
The concept of real life insinuates the existence of a concurrent and dazzling fake life.
I cannot stress this enough

Ribbit needs 3 weeks of funding.
$19 in lightning wallet. Cursor wants $60. Not the worst deal for publishing today. Who wants a new nostr app? The frogs accept โก
I have published the v0.1.2 and have v0.1.3 ready to release, but I'd like to finish cleaning it up and see how much more I can build in the next few weeks.
Ribbit is entirely community funded along with the startup equity I have put into it so far. The entire cost of development would sit just below $1k over the span of 2 years, which includes R&D and many long hours considering how to approach relay-based networking. There are many different plans for ribbit, but they will come in time. For now I intend to focus solely on delivering an excellent experience at the most basic levels.
All are welcome to give it a try, ribbit is a kotlin app and is only available for Android devices. Amber is required for sign-in and nsec login is neither recommended NOR tested. DO NOT PASTE KEYS INTO APPLICATIONS. ๐
To avoid being particularly disappointed, I'd ask that you please wait until I can release the proper fixes that are currently on the way. More is certainly coming. Beta testing feedback is welcome. Poor documentation and expectations exist at https://ribbit.wiki/ but I ask that you please do not crash my tiny website. The information is not particularly valuable yet and is also outdated.
I would like to continue working on this Mediawiki plugin, Oni (Owncast fork), and unnamed OBS plugin, and ribbit. All support is greatly appreciated.
๐จ FEATURES ARE CURRENTLY LIMITED. ๐จ
This project would not be possible without the cumulatively hard work of #Amethyst and many wonderful npubs.

Cursor cooked in the last 6 months.
I used to bitch about Electron garbage but here we are with no performance issues whatsoever, and Build mode is dope too.
I can suddenly feel prompting becoming less work and I wouldn't say my skill set has really improved. It's the software right now.
I wonder what direction they will take next.
