We are already struggling to invite and retain users then add bots to the mix? 😳 We used to ENCOURAGE blocking bots. Now, it has been flipped! The swarm of bots are everywhere! 🥺 I wonder, is this tactic of swarming #nostr with bots is to "show users" or "nodge users" to use WoT? Have you noticed this or have you had the same encounters? I believe too much screen time and too much social media is decreasing your social skills. Let me explain. I had an opportunity to interact with two young adults. Probably they are from Gen Z. I love to observe people. These two youngs adults, I met them in two different occassions. So they do not know each other. But the funny thing is, they have similar traits: they opt to go on their mobile device than engaging in a convo. I can imagine that you can be shy. However, I noticed I am the only one asking questions or curious about them. When I did not speak, it was dead silence and awkwardness then they would resort to their device as if a shield to get away from that awkwardness. This was not one off, I noticed to younger generations. Again, "variation is the norm". I am only sharing the recent encounters that I had. ☺️ #asknostr #grownostr #plebchain #nostr

#nostr tribe who are footballer ⚽ fans out here?! I went to my first live match last night! It was a spontaneous decision. I've got to tell you, I was enjoying the match (surprisingly)! 🤣 I do not understand the technical rules of the football game! All I know is this: as long as the team is going to hit the "goal"! 🤣🤣🤣 I know, LOL I was nearly out of voice after we left the match bcoz I was screaming so much. My partner was laughing at me bcoz every time the bloody ball went to the opponent I screamed my lung out 🤣 The match ended with 1:0 and the team I was told to scream to won! 😆 But I had an amazing time. Now, I am pushing my partner to watch the cup finals live! TAKE AWAY: It is nobody's job to respect your time and boundaries but YOURS. Some people will take advantage of your service regardless of your intention. STORY TIME: I offer "free hypnosis". My booking system will only allow you to book the earliest 48 hrs on my calendar. I had a client book the free session and then requested to change the time 24 hours early. I politely decline because of prior engagement which means the same session was kept. No response from the client. Leading to the session, the client was given instructions how to login and phone calls to let them know I was waiting in the virtual room. On the session date, the client was a no show. A week later, the same client decided to rebook for free session. I believe the client thinks the same grace will be given despite missing the first session. So I politely responded, due to the last session was a no show it disqualify the client from receiving pro-bono. But offered my standard session fee. The client did not response after that. LESSONS: Why am I sharing this with you? It is nobody's job to respect your time and boundaries but yours. If you are not clear of your boundaries nor aware where to draw the line, people will push to test your limits. You can choose to be treated like your time is not important or you let them know otherwise. You can communicate your boundaries politely without being aggressive. Keep your emotions in check to help you decide how to handle the situation. PRACTICE: How to apply in practice? If you are at work, sometimes fear of retaliation or rejection or upsetting your boss deters you from communicating your boundaries. But a well respected leaders will understand the value of their time and their boundaries. So what made you different?
