The other issue with centralized systems that is often overlooked. Let's say there is a developer who makes a closed source app on central servers, but he is totally on your side in every way and a paragon of moral virtue. He is still the sole point of failure. So stupid. And i have personally had to stop posting imagery of my kids too on Normie apps due to stalkers and creeps. But people act like parents can just keep their kids out of things.
