world famous Arch Amoulouk restaurant in Lebanon just bombed out of existence by Israel. The chef had recently become even more well known for feeding displaced Lebanese people. It was targeted specifically.
i saw an old woman parked on the side of the road, so i asked he if she was ok. she burst out in an emotional diatribe about how her car’s gps had led her there, no where near where she needed to go, and she had no idea how to figure it out. she had a new tesla, and was wearing a very expensive phone dangle around her neck. it felt like her family had forced all the latest tech on her, and she hated all of it. like if she had a simple
paper map, she would have known exactly what to do. i told her exactly how to get where she needed to go. As she pulled away, she looked right at me, and said, “i shit my pants” and drove off.
