We have a circle drive, gold accents throughout our home, and the toilet has it's own room. No, we do not live in a mansion, we live in a motorhome on dirt 🀣 but we call still have nice things! 😎 Also, one day we will have the circle drive attached to an actual house, a big house, paid for in cash 😎
Our son is now hanging out, literally! I looked up and he was hanging pinched between the bed and a pulled out drawer! He was fine and smiling 🀣🀣🀣
Eh, I'm pretty sure our son grew another half an inch or so during the nap he just had!!! 😱 He got down from the bed and then stood next to his dads desk that he was able to fit under, before the nap, but now his head reached the top of the desk instead of under the desk and he gave me a strange look and babbled a bit as he looked at me while touching it in what looked like "What's going on here?" πŸ€”πŸ‘Ά
Our son walks towards me and makes sound until he catches my attention and then he shows me that he has something between his fingers, and sometimes I manage to check it and take it, while other times he quickly puts it in his mouth and I have to retrieve it from there instead 🀣 Today he showed me his hand and then turned and started running away, but stopped to check that i was following him 🀣 babies are great!
I got some smooth peanutbutter today so I made myself a PB & J and then shared it with my son. He likes it! He is half American after all! He does like everything so far, so I'm not that surprised, but the first bite he got, he kinda paused and gave me a new facial expression, but then he wanted more! πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Ά His grandma offered me to make him a peanutbutter sandwich but it was never a good time, but she might have fed him some herself at some point, but that would have been over 2 months ago!
Our son came in from the other room, carrying a large box, pushed it closer to us and then crawled into it! He was so happy as he came with it!! πŸ€£πŸ‘Ά
Some time ago my dad mentioned how he'd picked a ton of blueberries and sold most of them. Unlike I America, In Sweden the forest floor is covered in low blueberry bushes, and sometimes lingonberry bushes (red berries that taste a bit like cranberries) I miss picking blueberries! If they had those here, I'd definitely go pick some! Blueberry jam, blueberry pie, blueberries in yogurt, blueberries as a straight up snack. Blueberries in milk! Blueberries with whipped cream. Blueberries on ice cream.
Today is my dad's birthday! Most of my life, he's claimed to be 17, which got a bit awkward when I turned 18 πŸ€”πŸ€£ My mom and I wondered if maybe he finally turned 18 when the government started paying him retirement money, but we weren't sure if it stuck or not. Well, he was born in 1953, and today he told me he turned 37! 🀯πŸ₯³πŸ€— It only took 19 years, but my dad is finally older than me again 🀣🀣🀣🀣 I love my family! πŸ₯° we know how to have fun!
So, our son has just I formed me that next time we go to In-n-out, he'll want his own burger.... Babies are cheap until they start wanting to eat normal food! πŸ˜¬πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ‘Ά
"Why are you talking about taking my baby from me as a good thing? I love having my baby in my arms and figuring out how to do tasks while still snuggling." - Me when our son met the rest of the family for the first time. If they wanted to hold him, I was totally fine with that, but when phrased as "helping me out", that didn't work for me, cause it just wasn't true. There was one time when he had puked on me and I needed to wash the skirt of my dress in a public sink that was est really far in that what looked like a teenager asked if she could help somehow, and I asked if she could hold my son, since getting to the water with my dress was nearly impossible on my own, and while also balancing a baby wasn't really gonna get the job done. But if it's just getting food, I'm good! 🀣
Well that didn't work πŸ™„ I covered my eyes and a fly touched my lips! So I covered my whole face! Then as I finally started drifting again, the fly started touching my arm, multiple times and I tried to cover myself but clearly not enough! Now I want a snack! πŸ˜… View quoted note β†’
Hubby and son woke up before 6am.... I tried going back to sleep but as soon as I started drifting, pur son started whining πŸ™„ Now he's having a nap, and I'm on Nostr.... I should probably take the opportunity to put my phone down and close my eyes! πŸ€”πŸ€£πŸ˜΄
Yesterday was the first day when it finally got cool enough to open the windows to vent I stead of needing to use the AC already by 8 or 9 am! It's 10am now and the air from the windows are still pleasant! Supposed high of 88 today! Maybe we are starting to get a little bit of fall here too after all!!! πŸ€―πŸ€—πŸ₯³
I'm glad we got home when we did yesterday, cause a dust and wind storm came, so we quickly got everything out of the car, then basically took two breaths inside and started unloading the groceries when the kitchen roof skylight/vent flew off! Hubby went outside and found it and went up on the roof to put it back, and I secured it with a hanger, but only on one side as that's the only place that had something to secure it to. Then the wind picked up again and started lifting the other side, and as I grabbed at it, it still somehow managed to put itself free from the hanger and flew back down, this time cracking it, so hubby went up on the roof again and put something else over the hole with a couple or pavers on top of it to weigh it down so the wind couldn't toss that too! We'd considered leaving for a week earlier that day, but I'm glad we stayed home cause it rained a little last night, and that would have gone straight inside had hubby not covered the hole! And who knows how much other stuff could have gotten in if we were gone for over a week!
