Inflation Story of the week: A couple of days ago I bought 2 mate tea for 2,08€ so when I counted my remaining fiat tokens today and they added to 1,12€ I was like yeah I’ll buy one on my way back home. Went into the store, grabbed one bottle, went to the cashier. While counting coins to 1,04 the cashier said: 1,24. Apparently they raised the price during the week. A 22,5% price increase. A kind stranger helped me with 20 cents otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to pay for it. Now I might not have needed this drink for survival, but this experience showed me that the system is most cruel to the people who have the least.
