Nostr Terms of Service:
1. We don’t know who you are.
2. We don’t want to know who you are.
3. If something breaks, fix it yourself or ask someone nice.
4. There is no CEO. There is no board. There is no email.
5. These terms are not enforceable because there is no one to enforce them.
6. Welcome.

Maybe the most encouraging thing about the BigBrotr scan isn't the 38 people who leaked their nsec. It's the millions of events where nobody did.
For years we've been told people can't handle responsibility.
They need custodians.
They need platforms.
They need gatekeepers.
They need someone else holding the keys.
Then you scan 41 million Nostr events and discover most people are doing just fine.
Funny how often the experts underestimate what free people are capable of when you actually give them ownership.
We talk about self sovereignty like we believe it but most of us don’t actually think it’ll work without a patron. And major funders know that. They’re not writing checks out of generosity they’re buying a stake in the outcome. Most start with good intentions but good intentions don’t pay the bills and eventually the check writer runs out of patience. That’s when the directions start coming. And that’s usually where the project dies.

The easiest way to control someone isn’t to silence them.
It’s to fund them.
Because once money is tied to their output, they start protecting the money without even thinking about it.
