Nothing in your life is actually urgent and almost everything is dressed up to look that way. “Only 2 left in stock”, “countdown timer on sales”, “flash sales”, “Boarding groups on a flight you’re already sitting at the gate for”, “Act now”…etc etc None of this urgency is real. It’s manufactured to get you to decide before you think, spend before you compare, react before you’re ready. The fake urgency created in our culture for absolutely no reason is one of the worst things humans have invented.

Paying for a great bed is criminally underrated. Guys will spend three grand on a truck stereo and sleep on a $200 mattress from 2014. Your body repairs itself at night or it doesn’t. There’s no substitute, no supplement, no cold plunge that fixes a spine getting wrecked for eight hours straight. You spend a third of your life on that thing. Buy accordingly.

I don't follow the "respect is earned" philosophy. I respect everyone automatically and then each person has the opportunity to lose my respect based on their behavior.
