I AM Lauren of Light… Years ago, I walked through some of the darkest valleys and carried wounds I thought would never heal. I remember one night, on my knees, whispering to a God I wasn’t even sure I believed in… “Please take me out of this pain… I don’t want to die, I just can’t take this fear, or pain, or keep hurting like this.” That night, I dreamed of Jesus… leaving the ninety-nine sheep to come for the one standing right beside me. The next morning, I called my friend Asa, still shaken. He was stunned… “Lauren!! Don’t you know what that means?!” It had been years since I had opened a Bible, and I said quietly, “No… what does it mean?” He told me to read the Parable of the Lost Sheep. As I read, tears poured until I could hardly breathe… and in that flood of emotion, I whispered, “Ok, God… I see You.” From that moment, my faith has been unshakable. I surrendered everything to Jesus… and that is the day Lauren of Light was truly born. I promised Him I would be a lighthouse… that I would spread His light… that I would remember everyone is fighting for something, walking through something, or clinging to hope. And I would do everything in my power to remind people how extraordinary and capable they really are. I’ve kept that promise with all my heart… and I will keep it as long as I live. Now you… Be the light 🙏🔥

Reflecting this morning… I am overflowing with gratitude for the woman I am…and the woman I’m still becoming. Shaped by grace, guided by Jesus, and anchored in unwavering faith, and a childlike heart full of wonder. The storms I’ve walked through didn’t break me… they polished me, filling me with grace, wisdom, and a love that stays soft. The more I stay present, the more beauty dances in the ordinary. The more I reflect, the clearer I see every challenge was God’s perfect preparation. And with every bold, joy filled step forward, the doors He placed before me burst wide open…doors that have been waiting all along. In a world that tries to weigh us down with anger, sadness, fear, unworthiness, doubt… choose joy. Choose gratitude. Choose to see God’s goodness everywhere. Choose to be the light that brightens even the darkest corners. Made some yummy sourdough bread today

I used to believe I had to carry everything on my own… After surviving a toxic, abusive relationship years ago, I convinced myself that needing no one was the safest way forward. I built walls, kept people at a distance, and told myself love was too dangerous to let in fully. I was wrong. Building a legacy brick by brick alongside a sovereign man continues to show me I don’t have to do life alone. Together, we lean on our faith. I find real joy in serving him and caring for him. Scripture reminds us to walk by faith side by side… and I’m learning to soften my heart, trust his leadership, and move in harmony with the love God designed for us.

If kindness went viral like dance challenges, the timeline would look a lot more like the Sermon on the Mount.
